One of the most widely used herbal remedies, it is used to heal and soothe damaged tissues - both external wounds and internal mucous membranes. It is also extremely nutritious, so can be used when someone is having trouble eating in debility and convalescence.
Sprinkle the powder in smoothies or on porridge or muesli.
Mix 0.5-1 level teaspoon of powder with a little water to make a paste and add hot water or milk, stirring constantly, to make up to 1 cup of thin gruel.
Use 3 times daily for gastric or oesophageal inflammation or ulceration or chronic indigestion.
Can also alleviate travel sickness.
Poultice; Mix 1 tsp of powder with a little water or calendula infusion to form a paste, spread on gauze, and apply to boils, abscesses and varicose ulcers.
If you don’t like the taste or otherwise feel you would be unable to manage the powder, I can make these in capsules form, please see the capsules section of the website.
